Seabean-Beach Discovery Walk

Trip Leader: Peter Zies (Biography)
Peter Zies will share insight on the sea bean treasures that can be found on Canaveral's beach and sift through the sea wrack that is deposited on the beach by high tides. He will bring part of his own unique sea bean collection to demonstrate.
All ages welcomed. Bring water and be prepared to walk a mile or so on the beach.
Tour Schedule: Thursday and Sunday 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Meet at Eddie Creek Pavilion at Canaveral National Seashore.

"Turtle Talk" and "A Whale of a Tale"

Join a ranger and learn how one season is ending another is beginning. We will explore how the turtles did this year at Canaveral. We look forward to "The Right Whale" migration, which brings the whales close to Canaveral. There are very few left. Learn more about what you can do to help the whales.

Beachcomber's Botany

Join our volunteers for an interesting program focusing on the vegetation and flowers at the seashore. Some walking and driving may be necessary. All ages.

Cast A Wave Program

Join our volunteers to learn the basics of surf fishing. Bring your own equipment if you have any. We will have a few rods available to use for the program. No fishing license required during program. Come prepared to get wet.

Endangered Species and Storytelling Workshop

Join a Storyteller to learn about some of the threatened and endangered animals that call Canaveral home through interactive activities. We will next learn the basics of storytelling with our volunteers. Children will do a play to learn practical applications of environmental storytelling. This is a junior ranger program. All welcome. Reservations requested because of materials by Nov. 7. Program size itself is not limited.

Family Adventure at Eddie Creek

Join a Ranger to capture and learn about some of the creatures that call the lagoon home. Children must be seven or older and accompanied by an adult at all times. Wear tie shoes and be prepared to get wet.
