Birding Competition

BIRDING COMPETITION

The highlight of the Annual Space Coast Birding & Wildlife Festival is the Birding Competition.

The competition starts at 5:00am Saturday, November 10th and ends on Sunday November 11th at 10:00am.

Youth birding teams are encouraged!

The Grand Prize is four Pentax Spotting Scopes! Other prizes include four Pentax Binoculars, four Eagle Optics Youth Binoculars, Space Coast vacation packages, tours from various attractions and much more. Pentax will sponsor both an adult and youth birding team.

You can use the birding competition as an opportunity to raise money for your own environmental cause. Non-competitive birders may choose a county area or simply sit in their own back yard and count birds to receive a Festival Bird Count Certificate. The information collected on bird counts is important because it can be used to track bird populations.

Cost for Competitive Birding Teams is $100 per team. The Festival Committee will assist in locating corporate sponsors for youth teams.
