This year the Space Coast Birding and Wildlife Festival is teaming up with another notable organization in Brevard County, The Titusville Art League (TAL). The TAL is a non-profit organization dedicated to furthering the arts in the community, and is proud to host this year's Art Competition.
Once again The Festival Steering Committee has sweetened the pot! Prize money has increased to over $1,300 and a new category has been added. Photography has been joined by 2 Dimensional Art (including Paintings, Mixed Media and Graphic Arts) and 3-Dimensional Art (including Sculpture, Clay Arts, Wood and Glass). First Place in each category will receive an award of $200. Top prize for the Student's poster contest is a $50 gift certificate and $100 will be donated to the winner's school art department. All competitors will be judged on how well they express the natural environments and ecosystems of Florida.
All artwork will be on display at the Brevard Community College Titusville Campus November 14th-16th. This is an event not to be missed.
COMPETITION
There is a $10.00 fee for each entry into the art competition. All entries should be works completed within the last 12 months, and express the natural environments and ecosystems of Florida.No entry fee for student's posters (prizes are gift certificates). Bonus award of $100 to winner's school Art Department.
Entries must be received between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. Thursday, November 14th, Judging will then be held at 2 p.m. Thursday. All artwork must be available for display through the close of the festival, and need to be picked up Sunday, November 17th between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Winners will be recognized at the Ace of Hearts Ranch Social, Saturday November 16th starting at 6:30 p.m.
