Activities for Youngsters
Although all of the activities at the Space Coast Birding and Wildlife Festival are suitable for young people, several stand out as being especially attractive for kids. Children under 12 are admitted free to all seminars and workshops when accompanied by an adult.
- Florida Scrub Jays, Class and Field Trip - Nov 14 & 15, 8:00am-12:30pm
- Let's Go Wild, multi-media photography Presentation on America's National Wildlife Refuges - Nov 13, 3:00pm-3:45pm - Nov 14, 11:15am-12:00pm, Nov 15, 4:30pm-5:15pm
- Orlando Wetlands Park Night Time Spotlight Tour - Nov 14, 5:30pm-9:00pm
- Face Painter Extraordinaire, Jean Joseph, will be on hand all day - Saturday, Nov. 15 to turn your child into the animal of their dreams.
- The Florida Wildlife Hospital will have some rehabilitated animals on display at their booth in the exhibit area.
- Mistnetting & Bird Banding Demonstration Merritt Island NWR Visitor Center - Nov 15 & 16, 7:00am-11:00am
- Haulover Canal Boat Tour - Nov 15, 9:00am-10:45am & 10:45am-12:30pm
- Bats of Florida - Nov 15, 11:00am-12:00pm
- Reptiles: It's a Cruel World Out There Class and Demonstration - Nov 15, 1:00pm-3:00pm
- Manatee Biology and the Challenges for their Conservation - Nov 15, 4:00pm-5:00pm
