We are pleased to welcome you to the Seventh Annual Space Coast Birding & Wildlife Festival. The Festival Steering Committee has planned an exciting five-day event offering attendees an opportunity to explore the globally significant natural areas of Florida’s Space Coast, home of the largest collection of endangered wildlife and plants in the continental United States. The Festival features unique birding, wildlife, nature and technology tours, boat and kayaking tours, field trips, seminars, evening keynote presentations, and workshops led by nationally recognized naturalists and scientists; all experts in their respective fields. We also offer several opportunities to meet and mingle during the Opening Reception on Wednesday November 12 and Socials each day at 5pm in the Exhibit Area.
November in Florida is a beautiful time of the year. The heat of summer gives way to cool fronts moving in with accompanying fresh breezes. Leaves are just beginning to change color; combined with profusely blooming wildflowers and brilliantly adorned butterflies, an exciting colorful panorama is created around the region. Manatees gather, preparing to move on to warmer waters. Migratory birds have made their way here, escaping the cold northern weather. Songbird migration is nearing the end; however there are enough remaining birds to make things interesting.
We hope your participation in the Festival and your opportunity to enjoy the beauty and wonderful climate of Florida’s Space Coast is pleasurable. We encourage you to visit Historical Downtown Titusville to enjoy the unique specialty shops and restaurants as well as taking a stroll through one of the riverfront parks. Whether you are a first time visitor or you are an old friend, Welcome to the Space Coast!
