Safari Todd's Florida panther

Safari Todd Wildlife Productions, Inc.

A Not-for-Profit, 501-C-3 Organization promoting conservation through hands-on, wildlife education and enlightenment.

It is the mission of Safari Todd Wildlife Productions to help preserve the Earth's diversity. This clear-cut and straight-forward objective comes with a complexity that will take generations to complete. It is to show our fellow man that, unless they become more concerned with providing protection for the many threatened and endangered species in the world, they too are in grave danger of becoming a scarce and possibly extinct species. The methods chosen by the dedicated and committed members of this organization to accomplish this mission, is through the use of "hands-on" education, enlightenment, and entertainment.

Safari Todd's gator brings a smile. Todd Drever from Taunton, Massachusetts, and Lynne Hawksworth from Liverpool- England, founded Safari Todd Wildlife Productions in 1999. With the help of their families they started on a mission to educate and enlighten as many minds as they could, young and old, on wildlife conservation and environmental awareness. The main concern of this alliance is the future of the Florida Panther, which is still the world's most endangered large cat.

Many studies have shown that the way to spark the retention of important information in both adults and children is to attach an "experience" to the information being presented. It is also believed that as much as 60% more information is retained when a tactile experience is involved. Just ask the thousands of students and teachers that Safari Todd Wildlife reaches every year. Our motto-- Education + Experience = Conservation-- was chosen with exactly this in mind. Combine the facts that Todd and Lynne give you during their programs, then add touching one of the world's most endangered species, the Florida Panther, or have a tarantula softly walk across your hand and you will have been educated while having an experience you will never forget.

Safari Todd Wildlife presents informative hands-on wildlife programs to public schools, private schools, special interest groups, resort guests, community groups, boy scout and girl scout camps as well as doing wildlife safety programs. These programs generate many opportunities for community education, community service, and public volunteering, We presented over 300 wildlife programs last year, many of them off-site using our Mobile Wildlife Education Unit. Over 60,000 minds were reached. Our new facility will ensure that we reach MANY more.
