Welcome to the Space Coast

Cattle Egret And, welcome to the 9th Annual Space Coast Birding and Wildlife Festival celebrating winter migration for a variety of bird species that come to us via the Atlantic Flyway. These birds have made their way here to escape the cold northern weather - much like the humans who come to this area in hopes of adding a new bird to their life list or find pleasure in our mild climate. The Festival focuses on the abundance and diversity of the natural world around us - westward from the Atlantic Ocean throughout the Indian River Lagoon estuary system to the St. Johns River and surrounding wetlands.

Oystercatcher Florida's Space Coast is home to one of the largest collections of endangered wildlife and plants in the continental United States. During the Festival, educational emphasis is placed on the preservation and management of animals and their habitats, as well as the cultural heritage and historical venues to be found in East Central Florida. The Festival features not only bird and wildlife watching activities, but also offers nature and technology tours, cultural tours, boat and kayaking tours, field trips, seminars, workshops and evening keynote presentations. We trust that you will enjoy this unique opportunity to spend time with nationally recognized scientists, biologists, ornithologists and naturalists who are experts in their respective fields.

We hope your participation in this exciting event at whatever level is fun and interesting for you. Enjoy the Socials each day as they are your chance to meet and mingle with attendees, presenters, field trip leaders, sponsors, and exhibitors from around the world, as well as the Festival staff and volunteers. Be sure to visit Historic Downtown Titusville to stroll through the specialty shops and enjoy a meal at one of our fine restaurants.

Red-shouldered Hawk       We welcome you to our version of "Paradise"!
